From the president:
‘Of course you can Play’. The only answer you’ll here from us here at the Rovers.
From my first training to today, the Rovers have always welcomed new members with open arms. This will continue without question.
We want new members, and as Queenstown’s longest established Senior Football club, we move to a new era, as a fully fledged, all inclusive Football club complete with Woman’s and Junior teams in 2010. It will be an exciting year!
We have enjoyed huge support from some fantastic sponsors over the years, and with current major sponsor, One on One Physiotherapy, not only has it provided us with New playing Kit for the Men’s and Woman’s teams, but their professional support at training and on match day, is beyond the expectations of any club in the region and is gratefully received. Procure Concrete Queenstown has continued their support from 2008 into 2009, assisting the travel costs of both premier and Reserve teams. Thanks personally to Neki Patel, and to Dave Le Compte for your support.
We have run our first Annual 5-a-side tournament with great success, I know this will get better as the years pass, a huge thank you to all our teams, volunteer members, but mostly again to our sponsors for the day, One On One Physiotherapy, Procure Concrete, Placemakers Queenstown, Southern Planning Group, Just build it NZ, Turnbull Developments, and Simple Solutions Interiors, for providing the facilities.
So, here we go again, into Season 2010. Otago premier League, Central Otago league, Southland Woman’s League, and the Central Otago Junior leagues. A full and Busy year ahead. So if your new to town, come down and see us play, come down to training, if your a returning member, ask me how you can help, get involved, make the club your own, make a difference, and most importantly make the most of the season.
